The owners are here. Both of them. But no plumber in sight.
When I asked them, very politely, when that highly important person would show up, she told me:
"Well, you see, I thought I'd bring my husband first, so that he can have a look. We'll call the plumber right afterwards, but he is extremely good, so he might be busy."

EXCUSE ME?!

Why the f*** did I take the day off, if nobody is going to do anything about MY problem anyway?
And how can a retired butcher expect to be able to find the course of the problem at first sight, when an expertised plumber couldn't do it after almost an hour of intensive search?

I can hear him knocking against walls upstairs in a most unhelpful way. The owner, I mean. Wish I could help him with that, only I wouldn't use my knuckles but his head and the resulting sounds would surely be louder. Not more effective, though.

Will go out again and pester them until they finally call the plumber.

How about talking about paying less this month if they don't immediately call that plumber? They HAVE to. You can't just drape some tapestries over the wall. And it's Thursday, weekend's lurking around the corner...
Don't bash his head against the wall, maybe the wall won't take it that well...
Hey, at least it did happen now and not after you re-decorated the walls! I know... I'm just trying.

Good idea! Tell them you'll reduce rent payment for April if this doesn't get fixed asap. Honestly, them both showing up there unnanounced like that and then not doing anything helpful is outrageous ...

Who is knowing in the wall,
down the hall?
who is sending noisy messages
down the passages?

It's the butcher with his knife
And his wife
And they knock their pattern through
Me and you.

What's the smell behind the stone?
Rotten bone?
What's the moist and rosy mud,
is it blood?

It's the butcher with his saw
He will gnaw
Meat and bone from one and all
'yond that wall

What's the throbbing that I hear
Oh so near?
Is he coming for me now
Fast or slow?

And the mire that's my wall
Turns to gall
Grants and entry to my life
For the butcher
And his bloody wife.

typo in the first line: "knowing" ought to be "knocking"
typo in the last verse: "and entry" > "an entry"
SORRY.

*sobs pathetically*

Pay more rent

I suggest that we pay more rent this month, due to the inconvenience that we create.
I think that the owners were forced to use at least the car twice to get to us, and their personal phone to call the plumber.
So I think that it is fair to pay more.

Honey, I do love you, but you HAVE to stop drinking that stuff. ;-)
Unless that was sarcasm.
Naturally.
