Actually I wanted to post this yesterday, but LJ was kind of uncooperative – and since I am way to tired to write anything new…. :
Had a rather creative and pleasant day. Spent the morning finishing the VocabLists, homework and class preparations for the coming week, then worked on some highly useful, yet spectacularly boring academical texts and bravely fought the urge of writing more fanfiction. The time for that will come – hopefully – during the weekend.
Right now I suffer from creative overload, many promising ideas soaring through my head and fighting for my attention. However, I have learned from past mistakes and try to set my priorities a little more realistically. Therefore I carefully make notes for every new idea and store them for later use, but try to concentrate on the tasks at hand. Until now it works.
The job event tonight went rather well. The school had organised a Vernisage in the local office and invited students from all companies. The pictures were … interesting, if not all to my liking, but that was to be expected. The food was excellent, not even Guillaume found a reason to complain, and one of our secretaries surprised us all with an awesome live jazz performance. And I finally had a chance to talk with
nelladarren again (Yeay!)
Yet for me it was a little bit too crowded. All the people that I would have loved to chat with were busy, running around frantically, trying to introduce people to each other who might or might not get along well. So after almost three hours we (< lj user="aprost">,
nelladarren , Guillaume and me) left and went to the Pub to watch part of the game England vs. Portugal. Actually I had hoped to meet
sibylle there as well, but obviously you are watching the match at home, lady. :-(
Now I’m nicely tired, will make a few more notes, drink a whiskey (White Horse, no ice please) and go to bed.
Nighty night, folks!
